The World Awaits! by Matthew Galat

Before my daughter was born, I began writing this story. I wanted to write a story that exemplified my view and take on life, so that she might inherit my realistic yet optimistic understanding of the world. As a traveling YouTuber, cycling from China to the USA thru 100 countries, sharing my experiences and checking off my bucket list, I have a unique take on life. In my travels, I have seen poverty and wealth, good and bad, success and failure. The guiding thru line that penetrates it all is the undeniable fact that the more you put yourself out there, the more the world will give back. The more numbers of people that you bring into your life, the more the good outweighs bad by an enormous ratio. If you have a positive perspective and a passion for life, you will be rewarded with fulfilment the likes of which few get to know. It would be my dream in life to be able to pass on this fulfilment and appreciation for life to my daughter, and furthermore to other children who might be read my story.So I finished the book and had a basic outline for the illustrations just after my daughter was born and intended to have it to her just before her first birthday. But as many things in life go, time dragged on and finding artists with a passion for the project and a vision for what I was looking for was not easy. Eventually, one of my Youtube fans, Wendy Zhang, sent me a message and asked if she could do the project. My daughter had her second birthday last July 2018. So I am able to give her the gift of this story for her 2018 Christmas present. It’s my hope that it can be read to her over the years, and eventually the messages can be converted from story-time to life mantra. I hope you appreciate the story I wrote.
