Before the JaYoe World Tour got off its feet, I was laying the groundwork for the trip. I knew that I wanted to climb Mount Everest, but I lacked experience. I needed to get some climbing under my belt.

So Anny and I set out for a first climb, Haba Mountain in Lijiang, Yunnan Province. A medium to small high altitude climb, this would get me starting to understand my capabilities as a climber.

The trip was a success, beyond a few hotel mishaps and a change of expedition guide. I could not have asked for better weather, and I learned that I needed to push myself harder if I was going to be successful on the tallest peak in the world.

In the Next episode, my climbing experience is tested yet again, as I travel into Qinghai Tibet to takle a climb over 6000 meters, Yuzhu mountain.

He who hates easiness in life, will always find a tough mountain to climb.

The JaYoe Travelogues are a video series documenting the experiences on the road as I travel on my recumbent trike from Ningbo, China to the USA.  Thru my lens, I hope to give you a glimpse of the lives, moments, triumphs and trials along the way.
